Simple Animation:



1. Open the image. For the purpose of this tutorial, we are using this image:

2. Click with the magic wand the white area outside the figure. Selections/Invert. Copy and Paste as a New Image. Now you have the butterfly with a transparent background.

3. Shift + D four times to make 4 exact copies of the transparent butterfly.
Go to Image 1 and choose the Deformation Tool:

4. Stretch the butterfly moving the left and right sides of the deformation tool toward the center a bit:

5. Now, do the same to Image 3, stretching a bit more.

6. Stretch Image 4 a lot and this time, after stretch, go to Colors/Adjust/Brightness and Contrast: Brightness: -15, Contrast: 5:

How to make animations in PSP 7:

Save your images as .psp, then open Animation Shop and click the wizard icon (the first one on the upper corner. Use the following settings:
a. Same size as the first frame
b. Transparent
c. Upper left corner of the frame and With the canvas color checked
d. Yes, repeat the animation indefinitely, and 25-30 100th of a second
e. Add your .psp images
f. File, save as
g. Click the customize button
h. Colors: 255 colors, Optimized Octree, Error Diffusion
i. Optimizations: the three options on the center checked
j. Partial transparency: Convert pixels less than 50 and No use the existing image color at 100% opacity checked
k. OK, Next, Next, Next, Finish!
